mobile devices, their communication mechanisms and software
platforms in order to enable new and better mobile
applications.

Systems: Our research in this area is focused on
Internet-based computing seeking for high-performance, low
power consumption and secure applications.
- Computational
Intelligence: Our research is oriented to engender new
applications for biologically-inspired computing (e.g.,
neural networks, swarm intelligence, genetic algorithms) with
emphasis on data mining.
